This telephone entry system had a bad card reader. I repaired it with this very inexpensive but high quality proximity card reader. Many systems support a variety of these devices including bio metrics like finger print readers.

Half the time when you call to have your telephone system repaired it turns out not to be the system at all. This turned out to be a poor connection at the minimum point of entry (MPOE) where the lines originate in the building .

Distribution Panel
I'm not too fond of people installing electrical outlets i with the low voltage. This person had interference on his televisions. To fix the problem I had to cap the empty spot on the splitter and some poorly crimped ends. A little humming on the phone lines repaired with a ferrite filter.

It is important to originate your network with a patch panel. Never just crimp ends and stick them into the switch thinking there will never be a problem. Labels will be hard to find along with a multitude of other problems will arise .
